Campus Living and Guidelines

Classroom Facility:
All classes will be taught weekdays at the facility.

Prayer & Counseling:
The staff is available to assist you in any prayer needs that you may require. We understand that spiritual warfare is a major obstacle to students while in Colombia and in Bible College; this is why we are available to you for prayer day or night.

Devotions:
Each morning, Monday-Friday students meet corporately before class for a short time of worship and devotion shared by a student or staff person.

Servant-hood (M199):
Besides classroom learning, each student is involved in serving in some practical area, such as housekeeping, grounds, office help, doorkeeper and so forth. A maximum of 8 hours of service is required per week.

Chapel Services:
Every Sunday evening, throughout the semester, the entire student body meets for Chapel and Koinonia. Students will share their hearts with one another and time will be given to pray in small groups or corporately.

Curfew & Noise:
From the hours of 10:00 pm - 7:00 am, (on school nights) we ask that there be no loud noise (such as loud talking, music, singing, etc). All students should be on the grounds and in your rooms by 10:00pm. Overhead lights off by 10:30. Bed lights off by 11:00. Friday and Saturday night curfew is 11:30 pm. Lights off and quiet by 12:00 am.

Stewardship:
To keep our utility costs down, please remember to keep showers to a limit. Turn the lights off when you leave a room. When it rains, please do not leave doors or windows open, allowing rain to enter the rooms.

Spanish Language:
It would be great for you to learn Spanish. Learning the language will open many ministry doors that otherwise would not be there. It means so much to people if you try to speak to them in their language and do not expect them to learn yours. Not knowing it will not be a hindrance at the school, but learning it will benefit you.

If you are interested in learning, you might like to get the book Spanish for Gringos by William C. Harvey, or take the elective class, Intro to Spanish.

Dorm Rules:
- You will have only 1 narrow closet space, 1 drawer space and 1/2 the space under your bunk bed to store your clothes and belongings, so don't over pack.
- You do not choose your dorm room or roommates.
- Students of the opposite sex are not allowed to visit in the dorm rooms.
- We do not allow meals to be taken into or prepared in the dorm rooms. Basic light-dry snacks are permitted.
- Keep your things clean and in order. Remember others share your living space and may not appreciate any unclean space that you tolerate. So keep your area clean from dirty clothes, unmade beds and other belongings.
- Do not leave trash around the room.
- We do not allow candles to be burned in rooms because of the fire hazard.
- CCBC Colombia is not responsible for lost or stolen valuables. Some valuables can be stored in the office for safekeeping, i.e., passports and money.
- Do not use anyone else's personal belongings without their permission. Do not assume it is okay to just borrow it.
